This is a very large hotel which reminded me of the Steigenberger chain in Europe. It is very comfortable and I thought the staff were exceptional. There is a pervading desire to 'help' and make sure you are feeling 'looked after'. The rooms were spacious and beds 10/10 for comfort. Our room had a separate WC which we always appreciate. The Japanese Garden is a delight to walk around outside and we loved the fact that the hotel is away from the crowd/noise in its own considerable space. The closest Metro station is about 10 mins walk although we found it convenient to often get a taxi to the metro and they were always in plentiful supply and not expensive - ca Yen1000. This is one of those hotels that manages to feel smaller than it's raison d'être - ie to host large events. Maybe that is because the conference space is clearly removed from the hotel rooms.

This was the first time myself, my husband and our 2 teenagers had visited Japan. I wanted a hotel that provided spacious rooms, a swimming pool and was in a convenient location for us to explore Tokyo. The hotel didn't disappoint! The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The service and particularly the concierge was outstanding. My son got sun burnt badly when we climbed Mt Fuji, as I don't speak Japanese I asked the concierge to help as I wanted him to see a doctor. They identified a dermatologist, booked us an appointment and handled all the advance communications. The concierge also organised for a very special meal for our last night in Tokyo, a restaurant with a stunning view of the city and a limousine back to the hotel afterwards. We were really blown away by it.

Amazing amazing hotel. Staff greeted us and check in was very prompt. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful all throughout our stay. The hotel grounds are stunning and worth spending time in, especially in the evenings with the 'Sea of Clouds' display. Incredible choice of restaurants but try to make a booking early or you will risk missing out. Room was spacious and very comfortable with an incredible view of the gardens. Bathroom was a generous size and the amenities they provided were luxurious. Cannot recommend staying here enough. Would definitely return in future and stay longer.

Superb Japanese hotel with premium facilities and premium service. Everybody was very welcoming - they also changed and proposed another room as per our request (we wanted non smoking instead of smoking). SPA is very good. Location is really good in order to understand that Tokyo is not only crowded city, but has other really nice neighbourhoods with really good restaurants. Metro is not faw away and all main districts are reachable easily. Concierges do their job perfectly. We have ordered babysitting service for our kid and it was perfectly executed.

The hotel’s perch above a spectacular garden makes it a serene refuge in the midst of urban Tokyo. The views of the garden are breathtaking at every time of day. We were fortunate to arrive as their “Tokyo Moon” display began in the garden, a mystical, luminous event that I’m so glad to have experienced. As amazing as the garden is - and it is - the staff in every department exceeded my every expectation. Never have I enjoyed more kindness and helpfulness. Also, all the restaurants were spectacular.
